Vivo has been living in the Grand Slam for a few years now as it has been successful in grabbing buyer’s attention with its smartphones. So, we thought it would be the right time to review the Vivo Z1 Pro which will be available exclusively on any shopping website.
Yes, Vivo too has hopped on the bandwagon and is now coming up with smartphones that will be available on online platforms ONLY. Through this step, Vivo intends to lure online consumers. Moreover, most of the consumers who buy smartphones online are young adults or teenagers. The Vivo Z1 Pro has been made for that exact consumer, so it makes completes sense.
Well, that was all about the brands’ aims and intentions. And now it’s our turn to decide if the Vivo Z1 Pro is worth even a thought and the price tag which is Rs 15,990.
|Display||6.53-inch AMOLED display|
|Processor||Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 Octa-Core Processor|
|Internal Storage||64 GB|
|Rear Camera||16 MP + 2 MP + 8 MP|
|Front Camera||32 MP|
Design Of Vivo Z1 Pro
The Vivo Z1 Pro is available only on all shopping websites and not offline. So, the designing aspect of it becomes important than ever. At stores, you can get the in-hand feel of a mobile phone; see how it looks in reality and all that stuff. But, stay tuned and you would have a considerable idea about the same.
The front part has a huge screen with a punch-hole camera. It is quite evident that Vivo has tried all that’s trending and the punch hole isn’t something that will distract from the display.
The rear back panel is made up of plastic and has a gradient finish with different colors, which is again trending. All of us want the display to have rich vibrant colors, we don’t know about that but the back panel is eye-catching. The color options available are- Sonic Black and Sonic Blue. In case you have a problem with the shiny colorful back, Sonic Black would be the ideal one for you.
Classy Display Of Vivo Z1 Pro
Before we tell you about the display, let us know about the buttons and porta around it. You get two nano-SIM slots with a dedicated port for a microSD card. The power and volume buttons are positioned on the right side followed by an extra button for Google assistant. On the bottom, we have a 3.5 mm headphone jack and micro- USB port, which is extremely disappointing. We expected a USB-C port and that doesn’t seem to be the case with Vivo phones.
About the display, we have mixed feelings. Vivo Z1 Pro features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD. At this price point, Xiaomi, Redmi, and even Samsung have AMOLED AND Super AMOLED display and Vivo doesn’t seem to care much about what the consumers want. The color saturation is good and there can be slight variations when viewed from different angles. You get a brightness of 400 nits and are responsible for enough visibility in broad daylight.
Software Used In Vivo Z1 Pro
The Vivo Z1 Pro and its software have an interesting fact related. Want to know, what it is? Well, this is the first smartphone in India featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor. Being an upgrade to the existing 710 processor, we are expecting changes for the better. About the memory and storage part, there are three options and the price varies accordingly. They are 4GB RAM 64 GB internal storage, 6 GB RAM 64 GB internal storage and 6GB RAM 128 GB internal storage. The OS on this one is the Funtouch OS giving tough competition to the Android 9 version.
Moreover, if you are a gamer there is a feature made especially for you. The Game Mode enhances your experience while playing games like PUBG with vibrations and 3D sound. As if this wasn’t good enough, they also have an esports mode that blocks notifications from apps that can distract you and looks after the device temperature.
Performance Of Vivo Z1 Pro
The Snapdragon 712 Processor has a major role to play in the performance of this device. All thanks to the same that you can play heavy games like PUBG and Asphalt 9 without feeling a thing. So, that is something that the gamers would be more attracted to. While playing these games, the device doesn’t even get overly heated. And if you are not a gamer the Vivo Z1 Pro is for you as well. Since it can take up any app that you would like to use seamlessly.
Cameras Quality Of Vivo Z1 Pro
The rear camera on the Vivo Z1 Pro is a triple setup with 16 MP main cameras, 8 MP super-wide-angle cameras, and a 2 MP depth camera. But the pictures clicked with it are quite average. The colors that appear in the images aren’t accurate, a lot of details are lost, and it just doesn’t seem raw. There is an HDR mode that can be used but it doesn’t make a lot of difference to the quality. Lastly, there is no feature for stabilization during video recording and that lets us down a bit.
Battery Quality Of Vivo Z1 Pro
As we mentioned earlier it comes with a 5000 mAh battery and there are a lot of mid-range smartphones with the same battery capacity. So, this wasn’t a surprise. And the phone will last you for anywhere between 6 to 7 hours if you are an average user and nothing more than that. However, the Vivo Z1 Pro does support fast charging so you would be able to charge the battery completely in a matter of 138 minutes, to be precise.
The Vivo Z1 Pro is a good replacement and even better for smartphones from other brands at this price range. We say better only because of the processor that no smartphone that was released before this one, has.
It is quite clear that the Vivo Z1 Pro was launched with a clear goal in mind i.e., to bid to the tech-savvy youngsters or teenagers who are looking for good specifications in a budget. And if you are one of those, surely give it a try.
