The trending mobile market seemed to be slipping off of Samsung’s hands. But, that was the case until Samsung came with its M series and launched it its Samsung M20 mobile..

Why do we say so? Well, Samsung has not stopped with its launches but Xiaomi has been killing and ruling the market with its smartphones which were under a budget and also loaded with some great and useful features. So, Samsung too rolled up its sleeves and introduced the new M series designed with the same purpose in mind.

Samsung was founded in the year 1938, decades before the invention of mobile phones, and today, it makes smartphones for almost all budget ranges. The M series, however, lies in the mid-range. There are various price ranges within the series as well but we are going to be talking about the Samsung M20 which is under 20,000.

M20 is one of the most liked models from the M series and here are some of the key Samsung M20 specifications responsible for it.

Key Specifications
Display  6.3 inches
Processor  Samsung Exynos 7 Octa 7904
Storage  32 GB
Rear Camera  13 MP + 5 MP
Front Camera  8 MP
Battery  5000 mAh

Samsung M20 Specifications And Features

The Samsung M20 is more of an everyday common use smartphone. We say this not because of the regular and not so exciting but also because it comes with a plastic rear back panel. It is good that it won’t be damaged when you drop the phone accidentally but it also takes away points for the looks of this phone. However, turn the phone and you see a good enough waterdrop notch which is also called the Infinity V- display by Samsung.

One of the good things about the Samsung M20 specifications is its display. We have already mentioned that it is a 6.3-inch display but along with that, it has a Full HD+ display. The screen resolution is 1080 x 2340 pixels with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. With a pixel density of 409 PPI, there seems to be nothing bad about the phone’s display. All of the features align with the price point of the smartphone and I have no complaints.

Unlike most of the smartphones in the price range, the M20 features a USB-C port. You also notice a headphone jack and the speaker placed along the edge of the phone. The sound quality is good and audible with the volume being loud enough.

This phone in the M series features Samsung’s new processor, the Exynos 7904. This latest process is built on a 14-nanometer process. These features paired up with the Samsung M20 4 GB RAM make way for a smooth multitasking experience. You can multiple apps at the same time and won’t feel any interruption. It comes with a 64 GB ROM that is expandable up to 51 GB.

The new Samsung processor is what makes the M20’s performance up to the mark. If you do not play games a lot or use heavy apps you will not complain about the performance. But, with intensive gaming and heavy usage, there might be slight issues.

The highlights of the software are the combination of Samsung Experience 9.5 with Android 8.1.0. The operation is quite smooth with interruptions only when pushed to the limits. Normal users will not face any troubles but the heavy users might feel the device getting heated up often.

The camera combination is the same as the Samsung M10 with a 13 MP primary sensor and 5 MP ultrawide cameras. However, the results are not very impressive. Low-light photos can put you off and there is also an issue with highlights and overexposed pictures. However, if you did not expect the camera to be extra impressive and of a DSLR quality, you will be fine with it.

After the display, the 5000 mAh is another one of the Samsung M20 specifications’ highlights. For normal usage, you can easily take it for two days without any charging. Moreover, with the USB-C port charging, you can charge the battery fully in a matter of 2 hours.

Pros and Cons

The M20 model comes in two variants- the 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage and the Samsung M20 4GB with a storage capacity of 64 GB. While the former variation is priced at 10,990 and the latter at 12,990 you also get a dedicated microSD card slot with both of these.

With that, we sum up the Samsung M20 specifications but here is the interesting part, a comparison of the pros and cons.

Pros  Cons
Excellent battery life and fast charging. The camera could have been better with the colors and low- light conditions.
Comes with an ultra-wide camera sensor. There should have been an updated android version.
Supports 4G VoLTE and has a dedicated microSD card slot.Does not have a 4K recording.
The display is quite good and impressive.

The M series from Samsung seems to be specially designed for young buyers with budget constraints.

However, with the budget limit, you need to compromise on any of the features. The Samsung M20 specifications such as the processor, camera, fingerprint sensor, face recognition are everything one would expect in this price range.

There are certain cons as well which can be compromised if you are not a heavy gamer and want to take average photos. The camera could have been better but the photos are good enough for social media apps.

The memory and storage are decent as well. There is a Samsung M20 4GB, 64 GB variation for those who feel the 32 GB would not be enough for them.

So, who should buy the Samsung M20? If you have a budget of 10,000 to 12,000 and want your smartphone to have all the basic features and the durability of Samsung phones, there is no reason as to why you should have second thoughts.
