Realme is a smartphone manufacturing company from China and was founded quite recently. It was in the year 2018 that it ventured into the smartphone market with the model Realme 1.
However, today some of its smartphones are giving close competition to brands which have existed not long after the invention of mobile phones. Now, that says a lot about this brand. Doesn’t it?
The model that we are talking about today, is the Realme 3 Pro. It was launched in India in the early 2019 and was compared closely to the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Redmi has been around us for quite some time now and amazed us with some outstanding features in an affordable price range. That being said, I had a lot of expectations from the Realme 3 Pro. At the end of this guide, you will come to know if it has stood up to my expectations or not. So, let us dive into the Realme 3 pro specification to find out.
|Processor||Snapdragon 710 Octa-Core Processor|
|Display||6.3- inch FHD+ touchscreen|
|Front Camera||25 megapixels|
|Rear Camera||16 megapixels + 5 megapixels|
Features Of Realme 3 Pro
Now that you have an idea about the Realme 3 Pro specification and what you can expect from this mobile phone, it is time to know the different aspects of it such as the design, looks, in-hand feel, display etc. All these features will help you in making a better-informed decision. So, let us start.
The Realme 3 Pro is the successor of Realme 2 Pro and at the first glance you cannot make out the difference between the two. But, when you look at the back panel you notice that the former has curved edges. Its competitor Redmi Note 7 Pro has a glass back which means when you drop it accidentally you are most likely to have a mini attack. But, the Realme 3 Pro has an advantage in this case since it is made from injected- moulded plastic. This is a not so wide phone and the length is a little more than the average. So, the grip would be fine with a great in-hand feel. You also get three colour options- Nitro Blue, Carbon Grey and Lightning Purple. All of which have a racetrack inspired gradient finish. I personally like the Carbon Grey a little more.
You get a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with this mobile phone. The bezels at the side are quite thin except the chin featuring a thick one. With a screen resolution of 1080x 2340, Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 90.3% screen-to-body ration you get to witness vibrant colours and brightness that works even under harsh sunlight.
If you are using a Realme phone for the first time you will soon get accustomed to the buttons. You get a micro- USB port, a 3.5 mm headphone socket, two Nano SIM card slots and one for the microSD card with the speaker placed at the bottom.
The Realme 3 Pro comes well- equipped with all the essential sensors. The fingerprint is placed at the back panel and it comes with the face recognition technology as well. Both the sensors will not disappoint you and work fast enough.
The camera at the back has 16 and 5-megapixel camera. The former has a Sony sensor which can be seen in most of the flagship-level phones and the latter is a depth camera for portrait mode. Moreover, the camera is quite efficient in clicking macro photos, in low light conditions and the night mode as well.
When you use the Realme 3 Pro it becomes quite evident that the company has focused on the speed of the handset. Realme phones are mostly under a budget but this is the first one from them which has Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC with this price tag. The operating system that you get is the ColorOS 6 that is based on Android 9 Pie.
The overall performance of the Realme 3 Pro is quite impressive. The phone features a speedy functioning, effective multitasking, good media playback and speaker with a good enough stereo effect.
The mobile phone comes with a 4045 mAh battery which can easily last you one whole day with normal to light usage. However, when you stream videos, play games, surf the web and use social media apps the battery will last you for good 12 to 14 hours.
Realme 3 Pro- Pros And Cons
While we have already discussed the Realme 3 Pro specification and features, this guide will be incomplete until and unless we give you an overview of the pros and cons. But, what would be better than a comparison table?
|Comes with a racetrack inspired sporty design with three different colour options.||The visuals during gaming aren’t good enough.|
|Has a 20W fast charging charger as well.||There is no slow-mo video recording option.|
|Sufficient battery life.Durable build quality||The images come out to be over saturated.|
|The Realme share works effectively.|
|The performance is a top-notch with fast functioning.|
Starting at INR 13,999 the Realme 3 Pro comes in different variations with colour and storage options. With the Realme 3 Pro specification and features that have been discussed above this seems to be a good enough price range. If you look at other mobile phones within this price range you might not get a combination of outstanding features like these.
However, there are some of the things which can put you off such as the visuals during heavy gaming, not enough features in the camera application etc. However, if you are looking for a mobile phone under a budget of 15,000, fast functioning, good performance, good battery life and a camera like competing to the flagship-level phones look no further. There are cons as well like any other mobile phone but the Realme 3 Pro specification make it worth every penny that you spend on it.
