The invention of mobile phones is preceded by the inception of the first telephone in the world. It was quite a remarkable achievement in human history but things were not in such a way as it seems now. Who invented the world the first telephone has its long controversy. When some people say that Thomas Edison invented electricity, they are equally wrong when they say that Alexander Graham Bell invented the first telephone. Research shows that it was not the case but at the same time around 5 or 6 scientists were busy developing a model through which sound can be transmitted. The human was already able to send the text through the transmission or telegraph. It soon wanted to transport sound from here to there.
Graham Bell And His Initiative
In the journey of the invention of the Mobile phones, it was Alexander Graham Bell who gave his all life to make this thing to reality. He traveled to many parts of the world and tried to make his model successful but he was not getting the desired thing. One accident paved the way for the revolutionizing instrument which we call the telephone. It seems a bit strange to think that this greatest invention of all time was resultant of an accident when Bell accidentally spilled acid on his clothes and he called his assistant Watson to come over. He came due to the sound created by the machine. And the revolution then happened and created history which we witness till now. It was an important step in the process of the invention of mobile phones.
Challenges After The Creation Of The First Phone
People say that the challenges faced by Bell in creating the world’s first telephone cost too much. We need to first understand that the Telephone as a single commodity was important to no one. It must be sold within pairs if it was one then it was of no use but if it was 100 then its marketing was increased. There was a time came in Bell’s life he felt very much financially low and was on a brink of bankruptcy. He and his two partners decided to sell the patent of the company to Western Union in 1 Lac dollars. But the owner of Union said that this machine was not more than a toy and it will not last in the long run of the market.
History says he was sheer wrong and just after 3-4 years of the establishment of AT&T company. The western union tried to buy the company of Graham Bell for 10 million dollars but it was very late then. From the details given earlier, we know that the cost of the first telephone was very high and not just that the higher rates of call were also there. If we calculate it then it can be said that the rate of per minute call according to present exchange rates can be said as 350 dollars per minute. We know that a decent smartphone can come at this price point. The first telephone in the world was an adventurous act in the way of the invention of mobile phones.
